Updating an Existing Website for Mobile

RD-Balance and RD30-Exec website plugin updates are configured as stand alone or "self contained" mobile web templates that respond for different resolutions on both large and small viewing screens. The step by step instructions include how to add this upgrade to any type of existing website as a sub-website (even sites using older code) to make the web site mobile friendly and pass all Google tests. A css mobile overlay detection application is included to be added to the existing website and optionally you can later add PHP or jQuery mobile auto detection & redirection (an auto re-direction script is available free with any order). The mobile site upgrade is located inside its own folder and is a separate website from the full site "up" one folder. Instructions are included for Getting Started and How to Add the Overlay and Mobile Site Setup. If your current site is already listed at Google, all you need to do to make sure your new sub-site plugin gets listed is to add links from your full or top level website linking to the mobile webpages. Then edit the mobile site with your content. That's all you need, Google will then see the mobile pages and list them with higher rankings for mobile searches. Using as Your Main Website

RD-Balance and RD30-Exec web templates are very flexible and can be used as a top level website because they are a stand alone template application. The Getting Started page outlines how (as option "B") to use this template as your top level website. As a top level site these website templates rank well for SEO because they are responsive designs. (Exactly how well you can do also depends on the page content and SEO you add.) Mobile Today, Top Level Tomorrow

Although "RD30" web templates are specifically designed as a mobile website update, they also can be used as a top level website. Optionally, you can make an "RD30" web template your mobile sub-site today, and perhaps when you are totally satisfied that you want it to be your top level website you can simply move the contents of the sub-site from inside the "mobile" folder into the hosting top level or public folder and make the site your main website. With one simple modification you can edit the max-page-width globally to allow for a wider view on non-mobile devices while maintaining full mobile device compliance.
